Default Need Help Accessing my Site, Host has took off!

Here is the scoop, I don't know who is hosting it now. Several years ago, I had a student set up my site and started hosting it for me. Well, he graduated and took off, and so my site has been on cruise control without a driver since. So I need to figure out how to gain access to my site, I do not have the log in information or the ftp (Think that is what I was told I needed along with the login info). I reached out to the company that I bought the domain from and they keep telling me to go back to the host. Well that is the problem I can't find the host, he is gone and no where to be found. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not sure if I can post my web address in the form, so I did not. If I can let me know. Thank You!
