As a few of you may have noticed, I have started two new things to help attract more members:
Revenue Sharing and Contests What I would absolutely love are some ideas any of you may have on how this site can be made better? Maybe some more templates? Resources? Membership Benefits? or an origional idea? I am looking for any way I/We can make this a better site. Maybe I could create an actual tutorial section? I want this to be more thought of as a community site, as I make some more money on ads I plan on giving it back to the community by giving away free stuff to regulars/helpers. But for now I want to make this a better place to be ,-ALL |

In my experience, contests seldom work. I think that revenue sharing can be beneficial in many cases. What I think makes the best improvement is to post simple questions, and give all the users a chance to answer those questions accurately. It makes them feel smart or something..

Many times you'll see forums fail because the admin doesn't take an interactive part of their own forum, I'm guilty of that on one of my own forums. If you can build a small team of people that have the same hopes that you have for your forum, and if they are as passionate about your forum as you are, then you have the makings of an awesome forum. Okay, so a contest idea? Find the 10 best designed websites on the internet and win a gidget? Just a thought. |

I like contests and competitions. Especially when I win. So what did I win?

Wow, its actually a really nice idea. Great way to attract people. I think the contests will work if you actually keep to them and give out the prizes. A lot of sites use it as an attraction grabber than cop out by not actually giving it.
Who decides what site is better designed? Last edited by KIFIKA : 02-25-2007 at 06:13 AM. |
